The Role Working from our Alanvale campus, the Senior Facility Officer is the right hand to our Facilities Manager, keeping the wheels turning smoothly across all things facilities.
You'll bring high energy to ensure everything's running shipshape, from routine upkeep to the odd curveball. With an eye for detail and an instinct for risk management, you'll help us keep our beautiful campus top-notch and facilities on track.
This role is full-time (73.5 hours per fortnight) On any given day, your duties will include: Not just managing facilities but setting the gold standard! You'll be the go-to for our team, driving operational excellence and continuous improvement. Provide leadership to a team of rotating staff across functions such as café, accommodation and cleaning. Support the ongoing management of maintenance contracts and build effective relationships with our providers to support any conflict or challenges that arise. Proactively assessing and managing risks, so that we keep ahead of the game and ensure that our staff and learners are safe at all times. What you will bring Proven experience – you'll have exposure and experience with what it takes to oversee the practical requirements and strategies that deliver operational excellence in the world of facilities management. Future focus – You see beyond today, shaping a facility that's ready for whatever tomorrow brings in the world of learning. Troubleshooter extraordinaire - you'll keep the gears turning smoothly by staying a step ahead of issues before they arise. No "not my job" attitude here. We're looking for someone who rolls up their sleeves, tackles challenges head-on, and rallies the team when the going gets tough. Excellent communication, collaboration and relationship building skills. Tradie in another life? Great! Your trade experience would be a big plus. A current Working with Vulnerable People registration is required, or the ability to obtain prior to commencement.
