Whether you've got deep experience in commercial real estate, skilled trades or technology, or you're looking to apply your relevant experience to a new industry, join our team as we help shape a brighter way forward.What this opportunity involves.As our Senior Facilities Manager you will be responsible for the overall performance of two high quality commercial office buildings and the services that ensure safe operations and comfort to the occupants.This role will oversee the leadership of engineering services operations with a focus spanning energy sustainability, ongoing building operational improvements, strategic delivery of lifecycle asset planning, project management, through to the daily operation of all property services.A snapshot of the role.Establish and maintain a sound professional working relationship with our clientEnsure and manage compliance with all relevant statutory authorities and enact appropriate engineering practices in relation to maintenance of the propertyMaximise the performance of the properties in terms of sustainabilityDrive performance of the assets to ensure NABERS energy and water targets are achievedCoordinate efficient management of all property services and other works required to be carried out within the assetsUndertake periodic inspections of the buildings and plant and determine the extent, and priority of any repair works requiredProviding supportive leadership to the Assistant Facilities ManagerOngoing management of all specialist contractors to ensure they comply with their contract terms and conditions and nominated scope of worksIn collaboration with others, prepare annual property operations & capital works budgets and monitor and update budgets on a quarterly basisBefore you apply it's worth knowing what we are looking for.You hold proven experience in a Facilities/ Operations Manager role with an emphasis on commercial assets. You have CAPEX exposure where you can take the lead with fit outs, and you know how to maximise building performance in terms of sustainability, risk management, and client reporting.You are positive and tenacious in your daily approach with customer service being your key priority, and you can communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.Having the ability to be proactive and to identify potential risks through compliance with WH&S is essential.
