Full Time Star Hotels Group is one of the largest hospitality businesses in Australia and is seeking a Senior Facilities/Building Manager to oversee its hotel business.
We are looking for an experienced Senior Facilities Manager with Project Management experience to join our management team.
This is a dual role, overseeing multiple accommodation and pub buildings, supporting and training a team of Property Managers, and working on major projects across the wider portfolio.
This is a senior role and you must have 5+ years of previous Building Management experience.
You will have prior experience managing, training, and growing a team of Building Managers and extensive experience managing complex projects: remedial, interior upgrades, and major asset replacement.
We're looking for someone with excellent customer service skills and knowledge of how buildings are run and maintained.
You will be a highly capable person who thinks rationally, logically, and can work in a team and solve problems as they present themselves.
What You Will Be Doing Act as the primary contact for the CEO and executive team.Train and support the development of your team.Review and evaluate the performance of your team in line with our performance management processes.Assist in preparing budgets and planning capital works.Establish and review maintenance and compliance schedules.Manage major projects, including asset replacements, remedial projects, and interior renovations, from scope through to completion.Split your time approximately 50/50 between managing Building Managers and overseeing major projects.Contribute to company operations, providing recommendations, and helping develop and implement company procedures.Ensure operational changes are implemented and managed across our portfolio.Your Strengths Exceptional customer service skills and thorough knowledge of building operations and maintenance.Strong problem-solving abilities, capable of rational and logical thinking while working collaboratively within a team.Technical competence, particularly in building management and relevant technologies.A commitment to exceeding client expectations with a keen attention to detail.Must Have's Full rights to work in Australia.Extensive experience as a Senior Building Manager or equivalent, specifically managing major projects.Ability to thrive in a dynamic environment, manage multiple priorities, and work autonomously.Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.Advanced computer skills with the ability to learn various systems.A current Australian driver's license and vehicle, with a willingness to travel as required.More About The Role This is a full-time position;Annual salary offered based on experience;Training and ongoing development will be provided;Opportunity to work for a growing team that strives for excellence.You will be working for a rapidly growing company with an excellent team culture and the opportunity for the right candidate to progress and build the project management team.
