Senior Facilities Engineer - Data Centre OperationsWe are looking to hire 1x Lead Engineer (Electrical/HV trades background) with a preference for someone in Operations & Maintenance - Data Centre Environment/Critical Infrastructure.About the Role:Provide exceptional customer service and comprehensive Maintenance services to the client and the contract.Understand procedures, processes and operate them to the required standards.Location of Work: Truganina Victoria 3029Working arrangement: Mon to Friday (37.5 hours per week)Client support role for Data Centre Hyperscale Critical Environment.What You'll Do:ContractDrive high quality commercial performance through understanding the contractual commitments.Continually develop systems to maximize efficiency benefits for the customer and CBRE.A 7 Star Mindset - Ability to make every moment matter, which supports the delivery of a world-class, seven-star client experience.OperationalProvide all-round engineering support in maintaining the Operational Assets.Ensure Engineering Operational activities within the buildings are controlled with due regard to Health and Safety and maintain 100% uptime criteria.Appointed as an HV authorised person for the sites and champion technical operations compliance at all times.Maintain excellent standards of response to Asset performance and completion of assigned work.Deliver effective business communication through advice, review, leadership, and direct contribution to management and team meetings.Ensure effective systems are in place to plan and manage work, communicate issues, and measure performance.Lead management-related activities including regular meetings and development of operational procedures.Be a point of contact during significant events or multi-discipline technical escalations.Participate in any business continuity plans as necessary.Ensure data centre operations and CBRE business policies are complied with at your sites.Supervise and manage the technical on-site team members to ensure exceptional performance.Ensure optimum staffing structures operate efficiently across contracts.Coordinate work permits and escalate approvals affecting critical systems.Monitor Risk Assessments and Supplier activities to ensure compliance with current H&S legislation.Ensure appropriate control systems are in place to meet statutory, policy and contractual commitments.Maintain effective relationships with key client contacts and ensure contractually agreed SLA's and KPI's are met.Manage contractors/suppliers to ensure maintenance and operations are to a high standard.Develop, implement and audit local Method of Procedures (MOP's), Standard Operating Procedures (SOP's), and Emergency Operating Procedures (EOP's).Promote and maintain the core Values of CBRE and ensure a professional image is presented onsite.Manage other tasks as directed by the client.Escalate relevant matters to superiors promptly.Support CMMS Operator in scheduling, closing off PPM's and entering reactive works.Provide relief to the Critical Facilities Manager during their absence.PeopleProvide leadership and guidance to deliver best practice selection, training, assessment, and recognition systems.Create a learning environment by providing appropriate training and development planning.Talent manage staff to ensure training plans and career progression are identified.Functional onboarding of new employees.Maintain training records and organise training for the team.Promote teamwork within the team and business.Quality and SafetyResponsible for administrative tasks related to QHSE.Co-ordinate sub-contractor files for QHSE compliance.Manage work management system and log hazards & customer feedback.Maintain compliance with all mandatory training.OthersReceive supplier quotes and upload onto the internal system for client approval.Work with procurement team when required.Constantly improve quality, service, and efficiency.Provide expert knowledge and reliable performance in crucial situations.What You'll Need:Essential:Managerial experience at Facility Manager or Contract Manager within a critical environment.Understanding of safety code requirements and experience with Health & Safety Risk Assessments.Experience of maintaining critical & temperature-controlled environments.Detailed understanding of electrical and mechanical systems used in a data center environment.Experience managing large scale outsourced contracts.Prior operations management experience including team management and performance reviews.Experience in maintenance scheduling and subcontractor management.Strong understanding of ticketing or workflow management systems.Experience managing escalation and emergency issues.Familiarity with ISO/FISMA audit processes.Practical experience in recruitment and line management.Australian Citizenship and government clearance up to NV1 may be required.Your application will include questions about your right to work in Australia.
