The opportunity: Reporting to the Façade Team Leader, the Senior Facades Consultant will support the success of ACOR both on a local and national basis. This career opportunity will provide you with the chance to apply your leadership qualities, professional engineering, and project management capabilities. The role: Provide services to clients, ensuring that projects are monitored and completed to budget and to a professional standard. Set and maintain the technical standards for the Facades discipline by using innovation and the application of state-of-the-art technology. Undertake and manage design, field work, report, and advisory activities to ensure that standards are maintained for technical performance and constructability. Work with clients to balance design or report and advisory work requirements with established budgets and schedules. Create support materials such as checklists, procedures, and other appropriate documents. Complete preliminary design and document discussions with clients & councils, changing preliminary designs, documenting reasons for change. Provide direction in the pursuit of technical excellence in all work produced by ACOR, mentoring and delegating tasks to direct reports in line with skills, knowledge, and technical/behavioural competencies. Required experience and qualifications: A relevant engineering degree or equivalent recognised by Engineers Australia. Chartered Engineer status (CPEng required) and hold a site induction training card (white card). Motivated, energetic with a passion for façade engineering. Highly skilled in façade, building envelope, curtain wall design and façade engineering. Extensive knowledge of masonry facades, stone facades, pressure equalised cladding systems, rain screens, polycarbonates, ETFE, PTFE and other façade elements. Able to produce high-level reporting and communicate on a technical and project level with clients, staff, and management. Demonstrate the ability to project manage a portfolio of projects and clients. A positive can-do attitude, punctual and reliable with a commitment to delivering excellence.
