JOB DESCRIPTIONWood is currently recruiting for a Senior Expeditor to join our Operations business in Australia & Asia Pacific West (APAC WEST). This is an opportunity to join our expanding Operations team, as part of our strategic growth plan for 2024 and beyond. Based in Perth CBD, this is a long-term commitment role and is available on a permanent full-time / part-time (job share) basis.Wood "Operations" delivers Brownfield's engineering, procurement, construction, optimisation and technical services to the Energy industry. In addition, you will have access to remote and flexible working options, purchased annual leave and employee discount programs.RESPONSIBILITIESReporting directly to the Materials & Logistics Lead and the Supply Chain Manager, you will step up and into a dedicated client contract team. You will be responsible for the expediting of Purchase Orders to ensure delivery on time and within project schedules/purchase order terms and coordinating all aspects of desk and field expediting as determined by project strategy, processes and procedures. Key aspects of the role include:Ensuring expediting activities are carried out with a clear understanding of processes and procedures.Managing and monitoring the more challenging and complex packages &/or suppliers and identify delivery improvement opportunities by details analysis of supplier project schedules.Proactively identifying and negotiating improvement opportunities with suppliersYou will bring to life Wood's three-pillar strategy of Inspired Culture, Delivery Excellence and Profitable Growth on the project. You will also have:Demonstrated experience and knowledge in industry's materials & document expediting best practices.Detailed knowledge of suppliers, manufacturing schedules and expediting, and the terms and conditions of purchase and supplier obligations.Good experience with ERP systems (i.e. ERM, Maximo, Oracle, SAP)Be commercially astute with a "solutions mindset" and sound management of risk, consistent with safety and commercial requirements.Be customer-focused with an ability to develop trusted relationships with internal and external stakeholders while balancing operational excellence to contribute to the competitive advantage of #teamwood.What will set you apart is your demonstrated experience and knowledge in materials & expediting best practices within the O&G industry.It takes a diverse and inclusive community of inquisitive minds to unlock tomorrow's solutions to the world's most critical challenges.
