The role
Reporting to the Director, Office of the Chief Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Health Workforce Officer, your role will be responsible for providing confidential, executive and secretarial support including the production of high-quality documents, enquiry screening, diary management, organizing itineraries and bookings.
The successful person
You will have demonstrated:
Proven ability and experience in effectively managing and prioritising the administrative functions and associated activities for Executive staff including the ability to initiate, determine and follow-up work priorities within mandated and tight deadlines.A demonstrated understanding of historical and contemporary issues affecting Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people and subsequent health impacts.Demonstrated ability to review, monitor and manage correspondence requests ideally via the use of a record management system.Effective in quality checking own and others work accurately to ensure procedures are followed and a high level of quality is maintained.Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks, setting priorities and achieving results within tight deadlines in an environment of change.About us

The Office of the Chief Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Health Workforce Officer supports the Chief Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Health Workforce Officer to provide leadership and coordination; and strengthen relations with key senior and intergovernmental stakeholders, including the Hospital and Health Services and the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Community Controlled Health Sector.
