Arts Queensland (AQ) is looking for a permanent full-time AO6 Senior Executive Officer who will prioritise workflow and liaise with team members across Strategy & Programs (S&P) while supporting the Executive Director and team to deliver priority projects and general business to achieve required outcomes and deadlines.
This role is positioned within the Office of the Executive Director, S&P. The S&P division oversees and manages the implementation, delivery, and evaluation of Creative Together 2020–2030: A 10–Year Roadmap for arts, culture and creativity in Queensland, strategy and grants assurance services, policy development and communications.

Action urgent and sensitive matters on behalf of the Executive Director, using effective problem-solving skills and persuasive communication to achieve critical business outcomes, including analysing complex issues, collating data from a range of sources, preparing correspondence, reports, and submissions of a complex, confidential, and sensitive nature. Coordinate, quality control and manage the workflow for the preparation of briefing notes, submissions, reports, media responses and correspondence requiring Executive Director approval to ensure high level of accuracy, quality assurance and timely progression through to the Office of the Deputy Director-General. Coordinate and manage the development, delivery, and evaluation of a range of diverse activities and projects within S&P, ensuring timely delivery with impacts, risks and issues identified, managed in line with project scope. Undertake a variety of project and committee support activities, including providing executive support for meetings, preparing, and distributing agendas, papers and minutes, financial management, travel coordination and following up action items. Liaise, consult, and maintain effective relationships with team members, as well as internal and external clients and stakeholders. Other duties as directed and required.
