The Senior Executive Council Clerk is accountable to the Manager, Executive Council and Government Boards for contributing to the effective and efficient administration of Executive Council. The position is responsible for providing ministerial offices and agencies with guidance on requirements for Executive Council documentation, including official instruments. A key part of the role is providing advice and being responsive to Her Excellency the Governor in her capacity as Chair of Executive Council, along with Ministers and their offices on items on the Executive Council agenda. The nature of the work requires a very high level of attention to detail.
Key ResponsibilitiesBuild relationships with high-level stakeholders.Lead a culture of continuous improvement.Special ConditionsThe Incumbent will be required to participate in the department's Performance Management Program.The Incumbent may be assigned to another position at this remuneration level or equivalent.Some work outside of normal hours will be required, including facilitating emergency Executive Council meetings.Some interstate travel involving overnight absences may be required.This role requires a National Criminal History check.The incumbent will be required to take an oath to become a clerk of Executive Council.May be required to participate in the State Crisis Centre during exercises and incidents.About the DepartmentThe Department of the Premier and Cabinet (DPC) drives the Premier's priorities in South Australia.
