Group/Division/Branch Economic Growth Victoria (EGV) supports the Commissioner for Economic Growth (who is also the Commissioner for Better Regulation) to undertake a range of work to advance the Government's inclusive economic growth agenda, including undertaking research and inquiries commissioned by the Government, engaging with stakeholders, and preparing advice.
About the role The Executive Assistant to the Commissioner plays a key role in providing high-level, confidential administrative support, including managing the Commissioner's diary, meetings, emails, and travel arrangements. The position involves the efficient processing and proofreading of written advice and briefs, ensuring accuracy and timeliness. Additionally, the role includes overseeing and improving administrative processes for the Division, leading the EA cohort, and managing key systems such as HPE Content Manager, Fincloud, and GIPS. The EA will also coordinate HR on-boarding and off-boarding processes and contribute to the preparation and logistics of meetings, functions, and projects under the Commissioner's responsibility.
In addition to providing direct support to the Commissioner, the EA will provide leadership and mentorship to other EAs in the work group, fostering a positive work environment and ensuring alignment with departmental processes. The role involves maintaining office supplies, managing financial records and budgets, and overseeing the performance and leave roster for the EA team. The position requires collaboration with the Senior Executive Group EAs and stakeholders across Ministerial Offices, line agencies, and external clients to support the successful implementation of departmental initiatives and projects.
