Faculty of Health, Medicine and Behavioural Sciences (HMBS)
Full-time continuing positions with salary in the range $89,861.38 - $96,402.32 (HEW 6), plus a generous super allowance of up to 17%.
The newly established Faculty of Health, Medicine and Behavioural Sciences will be an interdisciplinary powerhouse of innovation and collaboration to lead integrated solutions to the needs of the communities we serve locally and globally.
UQ offers one of the widest ranges of health and behavioural sciences programs of any Australian university, and the ambition for this new Faculty will be to leverage its unified suite of esteemed schools, institutes and centres to unlock opportunities within UQ and with external partners.
The 2 Senior Executive Assistant roles will provide high-level administrative and executive support to either the:
Executive Dean, HMBS, or Deputy Executive Dean and Associate Dean (Indigenous Engagement), HMBS.
The roles require adaptability, including flexibility in the location of work to meet the needs of the executives being supported.
Key responsibilities will include:
Executive Support
Manage the executive's schedule, coordinate travel arrangements, and undertake background research and analysis.
Draft correspondence and documents, ensuring compliance with University policies and procedures.
Administrative Support
Maintain administrative systems and processes, ensuring the smooth operation of the office.
Organize functions, workshops, and events.
Coordinate committee and meeting activities, including scheduling and documentation.
Stakeholder Engagement
Liaise with a wide range of stakeholders, including staff, students, government representatives, and industry professionals.
Respond to inquiries and initiate further action as necessary.
Manage financial matters, including reimbursements and budget preparation.
About You Demonstrated experience in administration, business or executive support and/or relevant qualifications.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills to effectively interact with diverse stakeholders.
Excellent organizational skills, including the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple demands.
Proven ability to solve problems, make decisions, and exercise sound judgment.
Understanding of University structure, policies, and procedures.
You must have unrestricted work rights in Australia for the duration of this appointment and may be required to complete background checks including criminal history and education checks.
