In addition, the Provost manages cross-university projects, interdisciplinary collaboration, and resource allocation.
The Provost is supported by a Deputy Provost and Director of the Office of the Provost and deputises for the Vice-Chancellor in their absence.
As Senior Executive Officer, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the executive and administrative functions of the Provost.
Key responsibilities will include:
Provide high-level administrative support by managing electronic diaries, scheduling meetings, and coordinating travel arrangements.
Maintain effective administration systems, ensuring smooth daily office operations and compliance with University policies and procedures.
Manage incoming correspondence and confidential materials, drafting responses and drawing attention to critical matters for executive review.
Coordinate meetings, events, and workshops, including scheduling, preparing documentation, taking minutes, and liaising with key stakeholders.
This is a full-time, continuing position at HEW Level 6.
At HEW level 6, the full-time equivalent base salary will be in the range $89,861- $96,402, plus a generous super allowance of up to 17%.
The total FTE package will be up to $105,137- $112,790 annually.
As this role is covered by an Enterprise Agreement, you will also receive regular remuneration increases - at least once a year.

About You We are seeking candidates able to demonstrate:
A degree with subsequent relevant experience; or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education/training Excellent interpersonal and verbal/written communication skills, including the ability to communicate effectively with people from diverse backgrounds and of varying social status.
High level of sensitivity when dealing with confidential matters.
Excellent stakeholder management skills, such as the ability to effectively handle, escalate and follow up with a range of internal and external stakeholders.
Sound problem solving skills and judgment in resolving or redirecting issues.
A broad understanding of administration procedures, organisational structures and functions within institutions such as the University of Queensland.
Experience in a Senior Executive Assistant role in a large and/or complex organisational context is highly desirable.
