About the Role As the Senior Events Officer, you will play a crucial role in the end-to-end event coordination, onsite management, and delivery of AHRI's national events including International Women's Day, two annual conferences, and the national awards celebrations. This role demands meticulous planning, financial acumen, strong negotiation skills, and effective stakeholder management to ensure the successful execution of AHRI's flagship events. About You As the Senior Events Officer, you'll bring energy and ideas that fuel successful events. You'll be highly organised, proactive, and able to predict and eliminate problems before they've even happened. Your resilience and drive will ensure that AHRI events are executed seamlessly and exceed expectations. To be successful you'll need proven experience managing large scale events and competing priorities. You have excellent project management capabilities with the vision and capability to morph vast ideas into next-level events. Duties Lead the planning, execution, and post-event follow-up for AHRI's national events calendar. Develop and manage project plans aligned with the annual calendar. Create, oversee and manage event budgets. Collaborate with Marketing & Communication, Web Development, and Customer Experience teams to implement marketing and promotional activities. Maintain professional relationships with speakers, facilitators, and external event organisations. Skills and Experience Qualification in a relevant field and/or equivalent work experience. Proven experience coordinating and delivering large scale events. Demonstrated project management and organisational skills with the ability to coordinate all aspects of an event, from negotiating contracts, budgeting, and scheduling to logistics and vendor management. Excellent numerical, written and verbal communication skills. Ability to embrace the digital world with expertise in event management software and tools. Thrive under pressure, adapt to change, and make real-time adjustments with grace. Be ready to go the extra mile, including some evening and weekend work. Interstate travel will also be required.
