Senior Events Manager

The Senior Events Manager reports to the Head of Operations and plans, prepares and delivers the Concert series and Tattoo in partnership with the Venue & Safety Manager.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:Event specific planning for the Tattoo, Castle Concerts and other events as designated.Delivery of the event specific directive, Event Safety Management Plan and Incident Response Plan.Manage the Event Team, developing Event Leads and Assistants with a view to effective delivery of current events and growth of the business.Contract, manage and deliver the external Stewarding and Security team.Ensure event planning is coordinated with Production Teams and Venue Teams.Lead on Tattoo participation in the EPOG process.Engage, plan and work with Emergency Services for event management.Design, support recruitment and training, and manage the Seasonal Event Teams (including security and safety stewards).Manage the budget cost codes as allocated for specific events, ensuring payment arrangements are properly in place for relevant event expenditure.Contract management of assigned consultants and contractors.Ensure the Tattoo is fully compliant in terms of event licensing.Lead responsibility for contact/communication with the RMP, Police, Fire Services, Ambulance Services and other Emergency responders, as well as the medical services provided by the military and civilian providers and delegation of these tasks to the Production team.Support the Head of Marketing with engagement of local residents, businesses and other stakeholders.Have an active role in the management of health and safety issues, in respect of event activities on the esplanade.Support wider Tattoo business functions as required by coordinating and cohering projects across departments, with a lead for Event Lessons capture and effective exploitation into Business Continuity plans and Risk Management.Based at: Cockburn Street, Edinburgh
Salary: from £55,000
Full time: 35hrs Mon-Fri. During peak event periods, working hours will be arranged across 7 days, including evenings and weekends.
