Roster: Monday-Friday Job Summary: This Senior Events and Communications Specialist role is pivotal in continuing to build Fortescue's reputation as a global business leader in clean energy, renewables and decarbonisation.
?This role is responsible for establishing a schedule of speaking engagements for Fortescue spokespeople, and developing messaging and communications materials for delivery to external audiences.
Fortescue's Events and Communications team plays a strategic role for Fortescue's executive leadership across Metals, Energy and the Fortescue Board of Directors.
This role will support the implementation of an effective communications strategy, working closely with the Fortescue media, brand and internal communications functions, through the following deliverables: Key Responsibilities Proactively and reactively securing speaking engagements for Fortescue spokespeople, and developing compelling and cohesive communications materials including presentations, briefing notes and speeches.
Determining and securing Fortescue's brand representation at global conferences, exhibitions and forums.
Event management of Fortescue's major corporate events, including coordinating the relationship with event management providers.
Lead the development and approval of support materials for meetings, conferences, presentations, and forums in line with corporate messaging.
Protect and promote the Company's external profile and reputation Provide media and investor support and guidance to Fortescue spokespeople Proactively drive our unique Company culture within Fortescue through creative and innovative communications material Qualifications and Experience Extensive, demonstratable experience in a similar communications/events position University degree in relevant discipline Outstanding writing skills, with the ability to develop clear, concise messages Experienced in media relations, speech writing and presentations Experience providing communications and media direction to senior executives and other internal stakeholders Strong interpersonal skills to build collaborative working relationships at all levels Proven understanding of the requirements and standards for an ASX listed company Highly motivated self starter and enthusiastic team player Work effectively under pressure to meet challenging timelines with competing priorities and stakeholders About Us Be part of something big.
