Senior Estimator - National Commercial & Industrial Builder

The Company:My client is a leading nationally-established commercial and industrial builder that specialise in the construction and redevelopment of large-scale mixed-use developments. Their specialised portfolio includes the delivery of commercial mixed-use, industrial/warehouse, aviation/logistics, manufacturing/food processing and retail/business park developments valued up to 150mil. With 5 offices nationally, this group leverages repeat relationships with a variety of institutional blue-chip clients, resulting in a pipeline of negotiated work - property funds, developers, airport corporations, and private sector clients.The Role: As Senior Estimator you will be responsible for managing multiple tenders concurrently end-to-end, being supported by highly competent estimating, design and project delivery teams. Working alongside the Victorian Preconstruction and Estimating Managers, you will be heavily involved throughout the associated strategic preconstruction functions, leading the respective estimating, tender, ECI, and project planning phases. Operating in a client-facing capacity, you will take part in project pitches, tender interviews and contract negotiations, inline with securing projects and potential new work opportunities. Given the D&C nature of their work, there will be a high level of collaboration between the respective Client Strategy/Business, Preconstruction, Design and Project Delivery Teams nationally. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Assisting with leading Vic Preconstruction and Estimating functions, including ECI and tender processes Manage key project stakeholders, including clients, consultants and subcontractorsWrite and review submission material to ensure that project specific requirements/criteria have been metInterpret, understand and execute head contracts - mitigating contractual risk Take part during strategic client engagement functions inline with establishing/maintaining relationships and securing new workQualifications and Requirements:Have demonstrated experience tendering and securing heavy refurbishment, redevelopment and new build construction projects valued up to 30mil - with a focus on the commercial mixed-use, industrial and warehouse developmentsHave demonstrated experience leading the associated ECI, D&C and Negotiated Work contract engagementsHave a deep understanding of technical construction methodologies, design management, value engineering and client engagement functions, as well as contract negotiation and commercial risk mitigation strategies Have a strong network of existing clients and industry contacts across Victoria. If it sounds like you are well suited for this role, please click "apply now".
