Job Description As part of our significant business growth, our M&E division is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Electrical Estimator with experience in transmission lines, power, or energy sectors to join our dynamic team. This role involves providing detailed quantity take-offs and estimating support for various projects, developing and maintaining standard estimating processes, and ensuring that proposals are accurate and efficient.
Key Responsibilities: Develop comprehensive cost estimates and coordinate proposals for assigned projects.Provide area-specific forecasts and regularly report on project status.Manage multiple bids simultaneously and serve as the liaison between the estimating team and senior management.Revise and update estimates as necessary, implementing changes to ensure accuracy.Maintain strong client relations as the primary contact for proposals.Evaluate customer documents for tender, bid, and quotation purposes.Coordinate bid inputs from various departments and subcontractors.Participate in pre- and post-bid meetings as needed.Log proposals and tenders into the estimating database for tracking and historical purposes.Review and evaluate the performance of estimators and senior estimators.Promote the company's services to both existing and potential clients.Required Skills and Competencies Strong organizational and planning skills, with the ability to coordinate resources effectively.Proactive approach, with a focus on initiative and innovation in work processes.Excellent teamwork and communication abilities, fostering strong working relationships.Proficiency in Estimating Software (such as Candy), Microsoft Word, Excel, and Access.Solid understanding of electrical requirements in industrial, energy, and transport projects.Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related field.Minimum of 10 years of experience in estimating projects involving electrical substations, LV, MV, and HV systems.While initially based at our primary location, the role may involve assignments to different locations across Australia based on project needs, so flexibility for travelling is essential.If you are an experienced estimator with a passion for excellence and innovation in the power and energy sectors, we encourage you to apply and become a part of our team at ACCIONA.If you feel like you meet some or all of the above - Apply Now!
