Position: Senior EstimatorExperience: 5+ years in industry, with a focus on tenders up to $50milBackground: Mechanical, Piping, Fuel and Water worksOverviewIn collaboration with the Pre-Contracts Manager and Estimating Leads, the Senior Estimator will be responsible for accurate bid preparation, presentation, and follow-up of tenders for Duratec. Be a part of our bidding team and work on tenders for major construction projects Australia wide. This position would focus heavily on Mechanical Piping Fuel projects, as well as water and infrastructure works. A background in these sectors is highly regarded. Play a key role in developing innovative, environmentally sustainable solutions and approaches within the overall estimate as part of a large, supportive team.ResponsibilitiesPrepare and develop accurate cost estimates, including cost escalation analysisCompile accurate material quantity take-offs to develop bills of quantitiesSupport the preparation and development of construction methodologies, programs, and submission documentationDevelop estimates from first principles using site productivity ratesConstruction of tender programsIdentify the need for additional information or clarification through RFIs to ensure complete tender documentsReview designs and engineering specifications for cost effectivenessReview and validate subcontractor pricing across all service disciplinesDeliver detailed tenders with traceability and provide support for pre-contracts and deliveryCoordinate team activities and conduct tender cost estimate review meetingsLiaise with internal and external stakeholders and maintain positive relationshipsAbout YouYour ability to be adaptable and proactive will see that you succeed in this role.
