About the role: We are currently seeking a professional and experienced Estimator to join our team, based at our facility in Royal Park, SA.
Reporting to the Estimating Manager, the successful candidate will be responsible for preparing first principal estimates, complex price build-ups, construction programs, methodologies and leading bids for challenging and diverse building and construction projects.
Success in this role will enable you to demonstrate the following: Review RFT, RFP and RFQ documentation to determine requirements in the planning of tenders.Develop lists of required pricing components and identify associated subcontractors and suppliers.Preparation of project take-offsCost estimating (using Cost X) and preparations of all related tender schedules.Development of tender programsSubmission of detailed bidsLiaising with clients, suppliers, and other key stakeholdersProvide detailed handovers to the delivery project teams.Skills and experience: Demonstrated experience in a similar role.Experience in building and construction elemental estimatesDegree qualifications in Quantity Surveying or similarProficient computing skills including MS Word, advanced Excel, PowerPoint, and Cost X (preferred)High level of interpersonal skills including a good phone manner and positive relationships with a network of South Australian suppliers and subcontractors.Excellent communication and negotiation skillsAbility to work autonomously on multiple projects.The successful candidate will have strong interpersonal skills, take pride in their work, have attention to detail, and have a high degree of accuracy.
