Join a company where you can make an impact on challenging, rewarding projects and be part of a close-knit, high-performance team.The RoleWe're looking for an experienced Senior Estimator to join our team in Newcastle. This role will be instrumental in driving new business and maintaining our standard of excellence. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering detailed, accurate estimates for civil infrastructure projects, including drainage, pipelaying, roadworks, and earthworks.Key ResponsibilitiesAttend and participate in Pre-Tender meetingsReview scope of works, tender and contract documentationIdentify and evaluate potential risks and opportunities associated with project estimates.Manage RFQs for subcontractors and suppliers, ensuring competitive pricing and timely delivery.Review and analyse subcontractor and supplier quotes to ensure accuracy and competitiveness.Preparation of estimates, methodologies, programs and submission documentation for tender review.Participate in management reviews of tendersLiaising with Project Managers and the Project Delivery Team on project handover, pricing, resourcing and supplier arrangements.Participate in bid negotiations and pre-contract award meetings as needed.Skills & ExperienceMinimum 5 years' experience as an estimator in civil construction.Relevant qualifications in civil engineering, construction management, or equivalent practical experienceExcellent analytical and problem-solving skills.Strong attention to detail and accuracy.Ability to work independently and as part of a team.Proficient in estimating software and Microsoft Excel.A positive attitude and keen work ethic coupled with solid time management and organisational skillsThe ability to set priorities and meet strict deadlines.The ability to manage & develop relationships with clients, suppliers & subcontractors.Why Join Finn Valley?Competitive salary and excellent benefitsOpportunities for career growth within a rapidly expanding company.Work on a diverse range of impactful projects across NSW.Supportive team culture focused on safety, quality, and collaboration.Flexible, supportive and collaborative work environment.This role will suit those individuals who are chasing a local organisation that will offer longevity and a strong team culture.
