The role:
Our busy Infrastructure team at Symal are looking to bolster its precontracts team with the addition of a Senior Estimator to tender on major infrastructure projects ranging from $5-$10mil, all the way up to $100mil+.
Your impact:
Your addition will allow our precontracts team to be a well-oiled machine, ultimately resulting in new work won and new relationships formed.
Your every day:
Preparing bids and tenders for various infrastructure projects including bridges, intersections, roads and drainage etc.
Monitor current competitive prices, new techniques and cost trends.
Develop accurate estimates through first principles pricing of direct and indirect job costs.
Develop, train and identify improvements to the tendering systems, including facilitating the improvement and upskilling the team.
Who are you?
Tertiary qualifications in Civil engineering, Quantity Surveying, Construction Management or similar. A minimum of 10 years experience in construction cost planning, tendering or project delivery working on diverse tenders/projects across Infrastructure. Multi-disciplinary estimating experience on projects in excess of $20m. Ability to lead a tender and work on multiple tenders concurrently. Experience with Expert Estimation software.
