Senior Environmental Scientist

Sydney About the Role: We are currently working with a leading company in the environmental sector in their search for a dedicated and experienced Senior Environmental Scientist specialising in contaminated land.
This role is based in Sydney and offers an exciting opportunity to lead significant projects, mentor junior staff, and contribute to innovative environmental solutions.
Key Responsibilities:

Lead and manage contaminated land projects from inception to completion, ensuring high-quality deliverables.
Conduct site assessments, investigations, and remediation planning.
Prepare technical reports, including Preliminary Site Investigations (PSIs), Detailed Site Investigations (DSIs), and Remediation Action Plans (RAPs).
Provide expert advice on environmental risk assessments and regulatory compliance.
Liaise with clients, stakeholders, and regulatory bodies to ensure project objectives are met.
Mentor and support junior team members, fostering a collaborative and learning-focused environment.

Qualifications and Experience:

Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Geology, Environmental Engineering, or a related field.
Minimum of 8 years of experience in contaminated land assessment and remediation.
In-depth knowledge of environmental legislation, guidelines, and industry best practices.
Proven project management skills, with the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with experience in client and stakeholder engagement.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
