The role will be primarily based in our Adelaide office with the option to work from home 2 days per week, when you're not required on site.
Our specialist Remediation team provides advice in the design and implementation of solutions that minimise cost and liabilities to our clients while improving environmental conditions.
We have a strong pipeline of long-term remediation projects in the downstream and upstream Oil and Gas, transport, manufacturing and brownfield industrial sectors, including environmental data gap assessment, portfolio assessment and advisory, risk assessment and mitigation, and remediation planning, solution evaluation and implementation.
Your focus will be to drive technical excellence, commercial performance, innovation, and client satisfaction while contributing to a culture of continuous growth and development within our team.
Day to day, you will: Review and quality control pre-divestment environmental site assessments, including all aspects of environmental investigation of soil, groundwater, soil vapour, ambient air, sediment and surface water data.In the role of Principal Contractor, supervise specialist contractors on remediation sites and ensure safe, compliant and quality field work.Prepare technical reports (e.g.
Validation ESA's, RAPs etc.
).Develop remediation measures with support from industry-leading technical specialists and an EPA Accredited Site Auditor.Scope projects and guide junior staff through the selection, design, installation and evaluation of remediation solutions.Foster strong client relationships.Commercial management of projects.Development of local team.About you You're enthusiastic, reliable, great at building collaborative working relationships and you're keen to take the next step up in your career.
You will typically have 7-20 years of experience in delivering substantial projects.
We specifically seek individuals with:
Solid understanding of soil and groundwater contaminants, as well as remediation strategies.An understanding of the obligations associated with the role of Principal Contractor under WHS Regulations.Broad knowledge of contaminated land site sampling technique, investigation methodologies and remediation technologies for groundwater, soil and gas.Tertiary qualifications in environmental engineering or science, geology or related.A current Australian Driver's License.Understanding of local regulations pertaining to the management of contaminated sites.A desire to mentor and train junior staff and grow local business.About WSP WSP is one of the world's leading engineering professional services firms, bringing together approximately 6,000 talented people across 15 offices in Australia.
