Vacancy: Permanent Full-time, 76 hours per fortnight
Location: Townsville Public Health Unit

Remuneration package of up to $157,360 p.a.
Base salary range: $128,169 to $137,918 p.a.
(+ applicable allowances/benefits) (HP4).4 to 6 weeks annual leave with 14%-17.5% loading and 12.75% employer contribution to superannuation.Plus Salary Sacrificing options and flexible working arrangements may be available.About the role Deliver routine and complex regulatory and non-regulatory environmental health services and public health programs to protect, promote and prevent risks to the community arising from environmental health hazards that impact on the natural and built environment and human health.
This position may be involved in working with Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait islander communities and in Public Health Programs in Indigenous Communities.This position will have significant involvement in the Public Health Program in Indigenous Communities in areas such as water supply, waste water, solid waste and housing.Provide high level clinical advice, whilst exercising independent professional judgement, to peers and relevant internal and external stakeholders.Role requirements The successful applicant must hold a tertiary degree (or equivalent) qualification that is accredited by Environmental Health Australia or deemed eligible for appointment by the Queensland Health Environmental Health Officer Appointments Review Committee.Significant travel may be required due to the geographical scope of the position, including stays of up to two weeks in remote Indigenous communities.
This may include travel in light aircraft or boat.
