What you'll be doing: As a Senior Environmental Engineer specializing in Contaminated Site Remediation at WSP in Brisbane, you'll lead efforts to create sustainable environments and deliver innovative solutions. Your responsibilities will include:
Leading the design and execution of remediation solutions across sectors such as Oil and Gas, transport, manufacturing, and industrial sites.Conducting thorough environmental site assessments, analyzing soil, groundwater, soil vapour, ambient air, sediment, and surface water data.Acting as Principal Contractor on remediation sites, ensuring safety, compliance, and quality during all fieldwork.Preparing technical reports such as Validation ESA's, RAPs, ensuring they meet regulatory standards.Collaborating with top technical specialists and accredited auditors to devise effective remediation measures.Guiding and mentoring junior staff through project scoping, design, installation, and evaluation of remedial solutions.Cultivating strong client relationships and overseeing projects to ensure successful outcomes.Contributing to the growth and development of the local team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and technical excellence.About you: You're an enthusiastic and dependable professional with 7-20 years of experience in delivering significant projects in contaminated site remediation. Key qualifications and attributes include:
Expertise in soil and groundwater contaminants and a proven track record in remediation strategies.Understanding of WHS Regulations and experience as a Principal Contractor.Proficiency in contaminated land sampling techniques, investigation methodologies, and remediation technologies.Tertiary qualifications in environmental engineering, science, geology, or related fields.Current Australian Driver's License and familiarity with local regulations governing contaminated sites.Passion for mentoring and developing junior staff to support business growth.Think this could be the opportunity for you?
