Senior Environmental And Community Advisor

Objectives: Contribute towards development and continuous improvement of management systems that underpin the mines environmental and community performance. Compliance with Environmental Approvals. Provide advice and support to line managers, staff and employees to ensure that their commitments to environmental and social responsibility are included in the strategic development of the mine. Support the Environmental Superintendent in the development and delivery of initiatives and obligations. Provide professional advice across the business. Implement systems and processes. About you: Highly motivated, with demonstrated strong and safe work ethics and behaviour. Experience supporting and developing management systems. Results focused with a strong ability to implement change. Excellent knowledge of compliance with regulatory environmental requirements. Possess relevant tertiary qualifications. Experience in environmental management with a solid understanding of Environmental legislation and community liaison techniques. Have mining industry experience.
Desirable: A minimum of 5 years' relevant professional experience in open-cut coal mining preferred, though not essential. Experience in Community Engagement and Corporate Social Performance. Experience in managing biodiversity offsets. Experience in the coordination of waste management activities.
