About the Role John Holland has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Environental Advisor to join our team in Hervey Bay.
Relocation support and project allowances will be provided.
As the Senior Environmental Advisor on the Queensland Train Manufacturing Program (QTMP), you will collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to identify and manage environmental risks and help develop the project and program capabilities.
Reporting to the Project Director, you will provide sound advice on complex issues in relation to on-site environmental management.
You will work with the project delivery team to ensure adherence to environmental legislation, regulations, and contractual obligations.
Responsibilities of the role include; Take leadership responsibility for site environmental management Contribute to development of work methods and rolling short term construction programs and plan daily/weekly production work Build strong internal and external stakeholder relationships Identify and mitigate risks prior to works commencing, communicate with and engage relevant stakeholders to control risk and contribute to build a risk management culture Consult with workers to identify opportunities for efficiencies and streamlining of environmental processes Complete field-based reviews and inspections Gather and listen to feedback from stakeholders and peer groups on ways to improve environmental programs What we are looking for;Significant experience in an Environmental role within the Construction industry Tertiary qualifications in Environment or a related discipline Skill in review of design documents, ability to understand drawings, provide constructability review and implement final design plans People and Performance Management of subcontractors, suppliers and direct labour A focus on solutions and the ability to empower others and drive positive project outcomes As part of the team, you can help us transform lives.
