We seek to appoint a Brisbane-based Environmental Advisor to support business as usual environmental activities and new projects.
Reporting to the Environmental Manager, key deliverables include:
Supporting the Australian Environmental portfolio, providing environmental direction and advice to key stakeholders, mostly Project Managers, Engineering and Operations teams.Participating as a key member of design reviews of new projects.Collaborating with the Australian team in the maintenance of the environmental management system and ISO 14001 certification.Ensuring environmental plans are up to date and fit for purpose.Conducting environmental audits at site.Submitting annual returns to regulators in a timely manner.Support Operations and Project teams to ensure compliance with environmental permits and company requirements.To excel in this position you will:
Hold completed tertiary qualifications in Environmental Science or Environmental Engineering with experience in environmental management as a generalist environmental advisor.Your environmental audits skills and site inspections will be well honed.Your communication style, both verbal and written will be excellent.Dealing with technical and legislative requirements, engaging with a broad stakeholder group, being proactive and improving/efficiencies focussed is highly regarded.Energy, renewables, or heavy infrastructure industry experience is advantageous.Brisbane CBD-based with monthly site travel to undertake environmental audits and inspections.To apply please send your latest resume and cover letter in Word doc format to Onten Strategic Recruitment.
