Our client is a national law firm that has an environment & planning team that consistently tops the legal tables year after year.
The firm has a blue chip client base and this team acts for government clients, property developers, construction companies and other major corporations. This role will see you assisting clients with all of the planning process in New South Wales. A flavour of the work will include:
advising clients on planning issuesplanning approvalsland & environment court proceedingsplanning appealsenforcements & judicial reviewsprosecutionsproviding advice in relation to developments, contaminated land and heritage sitesadvising on planning issues relating to major property developmentsproviding advice in relation contaminated land and heritage sitesadvising on climate changeadvising on climate change issuesadvising on power, resources and infrastructure projectsThe quality of work in this team is second to none. It's a busy team with no shortage of work.
About You
The ideal candidate will:
be an Associate, Senior Associate or Special Counsel. Candidates working in-house or in govt (local or state) are encouraged to apply.have excellent technical skillsbe able to hit the ground running and be autonomous (but also be a team player)be able to work under pressurehave energy and driveenjoy client development and marketing activities e.g. client workshopsenjoy mentoring & supervising more junior members of the teamThis role is open to interstate candidates.
