About the role
We're seeking a Senior Environment Engineer to provide expert Technical and configuration within the Non Production domain across Customer and Technology.
You will be responsible for supporting non-production environments performing root cause analysis and defect remediation, maintenance and configuration.
You'll join an innovative team who work collaboratively to identify and implement performance improvements and other operational efficiencies to reduce operational costs and effort.

Day-to-day, you will:
Contribute to the development and execute of the Environment Management & Governance strategy for the Tolling and Customer (GLIDe) Platform
Contribute to the design, and implement processes to ensure all environments are built and managed to the highest quality whilst being used by projects or programs or for platform maintenance and support.
Manage and maintain cloud-based and on-premises environments to ensure optimal performance, security and availability to enable efficient change delivery.
Escalation for environment incidents and problems.
Establish and embed continuous improvement practices and feedback loops to capture and share learnings across other Customer Platform teams.
Participate in the management of strategic vendor relationships and ensure compliance with agreed service levels.
Develop a strong working relationship with business, customer & technology stakeholders to ensure a customer-obsessed approach and deep understanding of strategic goals and operational pain points
This role will suit someone with a curious mind and transferrable skills and experiences, including:
Reliable, insights-driven, self-motivated and able to handle the challenges of a varied role in a dynamic organisation
Strong history of team/customer engagement and staff motivation
A strong desire to learn with an ability to seek out and accept new challenges
Excellent interpersonal skills (written and verbal) with the ability to deal effectively with both internal and external personnel at all levels
Tertiary qualifications in systems engineering, computer science, or related technical discipline
Proven experience in Information Technology with AWS or on-prem infrastructure
Strong experience with development tooling e.g. Jenkins; GitHub; Eclipse
Have demonstrated ability of defining and driving complex initiatives/projects
Strong technical skills, we expect you can engage with our senior engineers and solution architects to contribute to technical plans and designs
Hands on experience in Cloud security practice, control implementation and compliance
Knowledge and experience in DevOps processes and toolchains
