Join our clients dynamic team as a Senior Environment Advisor – Approvals and lead key environmental initiatives across their 2 operations. This hybrid role allows you to split your time between a Perth-based office and site work, ensuring environmental compliance, securing essential approvals, and driving sustainable practices within our operations.
Key Responsibilities: Lead and mentor the environmental team to ensure compliance with statutory obligations. Manage environment approval applications, including Mining Proposals, Mine Closure Plans, Works Approvals, and licences. Oversee stakeholder consultations and cultural heritage obligations. Implement and enhance the Environmental Management System (EMS) across sites. Support other sites in drafting high-quality approval applications. Engage with stakeholders to ensure effective feedback resolution across multiple sites. What You'll Bring: Tertiary degree in an environmental discipline. 5+ years of experience in a similar role within the resources sector. Strong leadership skills, especially in managing environmental teams and working with site leadership. Experience in compliance, approvals, reporting, and stakeholder engagement. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, environmental databases (INX), GIS (ARC Pro), and budget management software (Pronto preferred). Strong understanding of environmental, mining, heritage, and conservation legislation. Ability to lead environmental risk assessments and manage incident investigations (ICAM preferred). Why Join? Roster on offer : 5:2, 5:2, 8:6, 4:3 – This role will be a 50:50 combination of a Perth base and FIFO roster to 2 sites.
