The role A vibrant and iconic destination located in the heart of Sydney, Sydney Olympic Park (SOP) is renowned for its rich history and world-class sporting and entertainment facilities. With the SOP masterplan, it is anticipated that the precinct become a hotspot for development and become an active residential and event precinct. Our diverse and dynamic Asset Management team are seeking a Senior development engineer with experience in contract management and sound knowledge of asset protection procedure to coordinate services to support functioning of Sydney Olympic Park in terms of infrastructure and public domain delivery, including development applications review, public domain works and third party work permit review. The role also require to oversight certain utility service agreements. Your role will include: Provide civil engineering including drainage, flooding and public domain design and construction to clients and team member in planning and operations regarding the development applications and major government projects in the precinct. Manage the third-party utilities civil approvals and programming of civil works in the precinct. Review and approve development applications for new public domain, and drainage in the precinct. Manage quality of the third party delivered works including public domain, assets and utility construction. Provide support with contract managing the WRAMS (Water Reclamation and Management Scheme) contract as needed Attend relevant project coordination meetings and provide specialise technical advice. Liaise and coordinate with the Facilities Management and Customer Engagement team in reporting the third-party asset and utilities defects. About you You have a degree of civil engineering and understanding of relevant Australian standards and you bring an analytical mindset and the ability to solve problems. Ability manage contractors and carry out compliance inspections You can work independently under supervision, or as part of a team and you enjoy engaging with stakeholders in a professional manner. You have a clear written and verbal communication style and you and you are capable of quickly learning new software packages. Knowledge of financial management and working with SAP software would be beneficial.
