Senior Engineering Geologist Location: Leeds

Emtech is working with a growing Civil, Structural & Environmental Consultancy who are looking for an experienced Engineering Geologist to join their team in Leeds.
The successful candidate will join a team of Geo-environmental and Engineering Geologists and will be involved in producing:
Geo-environmental Desk Studies Site Investigation Reports Coal Mining Risk Reports Tenders and Specifications for grouting of mine workings and earthworks Responses to regulator conditions/queries The role is generally office-based, but there will be occasional requirements to attend meetings with Clients, supervise site work on a visiting basis, and occasionally carry out fieldwork activities, such as logging boreholes and trial pits should workload demand. The candidate will also assist the Department Head with the day-to-day management of the department and supervision of junior staff, contributing to their development.
Ideally, you will have experience in the following areas: Ground Investigation Techniques Supervision of fieldwork activity, including organizing and directing field operations (equipment and personnel) Sampling and logging of soil and rock to professional/technical standards Scheduling of laboratory testing (geotechnical and contamination) Preparation of interpretative reports on both geotechnical and contamination aspects Preparation of earthworks specification and validation reports Preparation of Geotechnical and Contamination Remediation strategies and Validation of Remediation Consultations with Regulators Desirable, but not essential skills or experience: Slope stability assessment CLEA Risk Assessment Groundwater DQRA The suitable candidate must be motivated and enthusiastic and will possess:
