*This role offers an opportunity to relocate to regional QLDWho we areWork+Stay are regional recruitment specialists, and we have built partnerships with multiple regional councils across Australia.About the companyOur client is a prominent and innovative council located just south of the iconic Great Barrier Reef, committed to investing in essential growth projects.About the roleThis role is responsible for designing solutions and taking the lead on specific projects while coordinating and consulting with the environmentalists, water, and structural team.DutiesDeliver, review and sign off water-related infrastructure design drawings.Supervise a team of professionals and offer guidance whenever required.Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders in the execution of water and sewer projects.Develop and monitor annual design and investigation works programs and prepare annual budgets.Skills & experience requiredBachelor of Civil Engineering and extensive disciplined knowledge and relevant experience in civil engineering.Design experience in sewerage and water (particularly pump stations, reticulation (pressure mains as well as gravity), and effluent treatment).7+ years experience in sewerage treatment plants, wastewater treatment, potable water supply networks, etc.Knowledge of design and design delivery experience is essential.Driver's license.Stakeholder engagement.CultureThis council supports flexible working arrangements promoting and encouraging work-life balance.
