As one of our Senior Engineers in Tunnels and Underground Structures, you will be joining an award-winning national team, overleveraging more than 150 years of combined expert experience.
You will be an integral part of our industry-leading Geotechnical and Tunnels team, who all share a common passion for technical excellence and innovation.

What you'll do: Provide technical advice on complex Tunnel and/or Underground engineering issues to clients and internal staff and deliver best practice consulting services;Use advanced techniques, modifications and extension of theories, practices to synthesise and analyse data for decision making/ recommendations;Build reputation as an expert Consultant. Participate in industry groups as part of maintaining high industry profile;Manage, analyse and carry out Tunnel and/or Underground reporting for projectsProvide safety leadership in identifying and alleviating/ eliminating high priority safety hazards;Participate in training activities, mentor and transfer knowledge to other Tunnel and Underground engineers;Manage existing and new client relationships and undertake proactive business development activities;Keep abreast of advancing technologies, methods and research & development;Supervise, coordinate and review/evaluate activities carried out by less experienced engineers;Prepare tenders, proposals and reports for clients; andGuide, participate and support stakeholder engagement activitiesAbout you: Typically, at least 5 to 12 years' experience in Tunnels and/or Underground engineeringA successful track record in undertaking and managing field investigations for small to large size projectsTrack record of promoting innovation in the field of Tunnels and/or Underground engineering to create value for clients/ projectsDemonstrated experience in the preparation / review of written technical reports and client communicationsA civil engineering or Structural engineering degreePost graduate qualifications in a Structural related field will be considered favourablyA strong work ethic and ability to work autonomously and in a team environmentAbility to take responsibility for geotechnical design delivery in multidisciplinary environmentAbout WSP: WSP is one of the world's leading engineering professional services consulting firms, bringing together approximately 5,000 talented people across 14 offices in Australia.
