This pivotal role focuses on planning, scoping, and prioritising infrastructure projects and contributing to the development and delivery of the Shire's 10-year capital works program. While most design work is undertaken by external consultants, the Senior Engineer will be responsible for overseeing design development and managing these consultants to ensure standards are met. This position requires a thorough understanding of civil engineering standards, road safety considerations, and design elements, particularly in the context of preparing grant applications.Reporting to the Manager Asset Planning, the Senior Engineer will ensure that infrastructure projects align with the Council's goals and service delivery objectives. The role also offers significant career advancement opportunities, particularly for an emerging engineer looking to step into a leadership position. You will gain valuable experience in design development, asset management, and broader engineering practices.
