Port Waratah is Australia's largest coal export terminal and has been receiving, stockpiling, blending, and loading coal for export in the heart of Newcastle for over 40 years, playing a significant role as an economic driver and catalyst for growth throughout Newcastle and Hunter Region. So that we can continue to deliver for our customers and support economic value for the community we are embarking on a transformative 5-year multi million project to optimise our Kooragang Terminal's shiploaders.This means we have created new roles for industry professionals the right leadership and technical experience for high value, large, complex projects. We are seeking a Senior Engineer Leader to plan, manage, and deliver the engineering design deliverables for the project. As the technical lead, you will collaborate closely with Senior Project Managers, our engineering team, and stakeholders to ensure the design and quality of project deliverables align with Port Waratah's long-term business strategy and values. This is your chance to contribute to and shape the future of a cornerstone business in Newcastle.To be successful in this new role you should bring a proven track record in requirements, scoping and design management, constructability and methodology reviews and value adding processes for the engineering support in complex high-value projects. You will possess a strong understanding of regulatory requirements and engineering standards across multiple disciplines and the capability to develop specifications for contracts. You will be experienced in leading multi-disciplinary teams and stakeholders with your exceptional communication skills and stakeholder engagement expertise ensuring your success. Experience in heavy industry or construction, along with relevant qualifications in Engineering is essential.
