Milestone IT, in partnership with a leading national business, is seeking a skilled Senior Infrastructure Engineer to oversee and manage the critical Point of Sale (POS) infrastructure.
This pivotal role requires a deep understanding of SQL Server administration, AWS cloud technologies, and mobile device management (MDM) solutions, specifically Android devices.
Key Responsibilities: Oversee the design, implementation, and maintenance of the POS infrastructure.Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues related to POS systems.Monitor system performance and implement optimization strategies.Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand their requirements and translate them into technical solutions.SQL Server Administration:Manage and maintain SQL Server databases, ensuring optimal performance and data integrity.Perform database backups, restores, and maintenance tasks.Troubleshoot and resolve database-related issues.Leverage AWS services to enhance the scalability and reliability of the POS infrastructure.Migrate and manage workloads to the AWS cloud.Implement security best practices to protect sensitive data.Configure and manage mobile devices for Android devices.Deploy and update mobile applications.Troubleshoot and resolve device-related issues.Essential Skills and Experience: Strong understanding of POS systems and retail environments.Proven experience in SQL Server administration, including database design, performance tuning, and troubleshooting.Hands-on experience with AWS cloud services, such as EC2, S3, and RDS.Must have MECM (Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager) experience.Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.Strong communication and interpersonal skills.Ability to work independently and as part of a team.To apply online, please click on the appropriate link below.
