How will I help?
An exciting opportunity is available for Senior Java Engineers to come and join a newly formed team tasked with building a simpler, highly resilient, always on payments platform for the Westpac Group.
The initiative for the new platform is being carried out under the recently announced Unite program with a strong focus on simplification and consolidation.

Your key responsibilities include:
Build, maintain and deploy cloud native microservices
Provide input into the current ways of working and implement your ideas – challenge the norm
Liaise with all significant contributors to end-to-end solutions, including architecture and engineering; infrastructure; security (ISG); delivery; and vendors.
Mentor team members and lead by example
Provide just enough documentation for others to be able to pick up and support the services you're working on

To be successful in this role, you will need to demonstrate the below skills:
Bachelor's or master's in computer engineering/science or related field.
