This position is responsible for the delivery of the Business Unit's most significant and complex water, sewage, and waste services infrastructure construction projects to support Council's strategic and operational objectives. Projects are typically multiyear projects with budgets of up to $40m and will routinely contain process, mechanical and electrical facets. You will also coordinate complete project delivery cycle from preparation of procurement documentation through design, construction, commissioning, and project review/validation for projects that may utilise numerous contracts in delivery.
This role will see you leading a small team of engineers and project managers, with the ability to lead a cohesive and high performing unit. You will have extensive experience in managing construction projects and leading multi-disciplinary projects teams. Working across the organisation you will engage widely with stakeholders using diplomacy and tact to achieve positive outcomes.
You have excellent oral and written communication skills and ideally you will have experience, preferably within Local Government or water/sewage Consultancies, demonstrated construction, maintenance and operational experience in project and capital works delivery.
Bachelor in Civil or Environmental Engineering is essential as is RPEQ registration. You will have demonstrated experience in project management and contract management procedures.
