With an extensive pipeline of exciting bridge projects on the horizon we are looking for a new Senior/Associate Structural Engineer to join our team in a newly created role. Working from our tight knit Perth office this position will oversee the successful delivery of complex greenfield and brownfield projects - leading and guiding junior engineers to ensure innovation and creativity is optimised.
The Position High quality structural engineering design tasks including engineering drawings, engineering reports, presentations. Apply advanced knowledge of current principles and practices of structural engineering and keeps informed of new methods and developments. Lead the development of new design tools, office standards, company design processes and specifications of Bridge and Structural design. Contribute to project meetings with internal team members and/or external consultants, owner and contractor, sub-contractors, and vendors. Oversee and manage projects from inception to completion. Assist and/or lead the development of proposals, contract and tender documentation. Development and implementation of strategies to improve work practices, policies, systems and processes to ensure the delivery of high-quality project deliverables. Supervise, mentor and coach D&A's internal resources within to ensure continuous improvement of the quality of our deliverables. Assist in increasing D&A's client base and converting strategic opportunities with new and existing clients. Working with project delivery managers to identify project tasks, durations and resource requirements. Oversee detailed structural integrity studies, inspections and condition assessments. Oversee structural failure and reliability analyses for a range of clients. Requirements Bachelor of Engineering in Civil or Structural Engineering. Chartered Professional Engineer with Engineers Australia. 6 + years' experience in the detailed design of bridge/heavy civil structures. Proven track record of solving complex engineering problems. Highly developed communication and report writing skills. Experienced in FEA (LUSAS preferred), SPACE GASS, Autodesk Structural Bridge Design and AutoCAD. Exposure to Revit and/or Open Bridge. Australian Standards knowledge and ability to apply the standards to designs and load ratings. Collaborative leadership style passion for contributing to a positive working culture.
