Your ChapterThe Engineering Chapter houses the capabilities and roles necessary to develop the OnePass platform which includes front-end, back-end and middle developer capabilities embedded throughout.
The specific skillsets will vary based on the technology and the tech being used, as well as how it aligns to the cross-functional teams.
Engineering is responsible for establishing engineering practices within OnePass.
What you'll be doingYou will be responsible for developing OnePass website to support new features and incremental improvements.
You will work closely with UX designers, product managers and delivery to ensure paramount customer experience.
Key duties and deliverables:Support customer-facing experiences by leveraging modern frontend/mobile technologies (react native) focusing on high-quality engineering and continuous deliveryUse robust coding practices, solid unit/component and integration test coverage, and debugging of codeTransform business requirements and UI/UX wireframes and designs into product features using the latest frontend and mobile technologies as part of an agile cross-functional teamAbility to write tested, maintainable code for frontend stack (TypeScript/React) with a focus on accessibility, reusability, and modern best practicesBuild and own integrations from the front end to the back end using GraphQL and ApolloImprove and refine existing product functionality and user experience elementsContribute to team standards, frameworks, ways of working and toolsDemonstrate willingness to help others and work outside of core competencies when needed, such as back-end development or testingImprove and refine existing site functionality and user experience elements by participating in monitoring, support, and continuous improvement of the production environmentWhat you'll bring to the tableEnergetic and passionate for UX-UI design with an ability to clearly discuss and explain design optionsStrong drive for continuous improvement – creating efficiencies & processes, innovating, maximising growth, accelerating the rate of new customer engagement, and improving website profitabilitySkilful with unit testing frameworks like Jest/Enzyme, React Testing Library and integration testing frameworks like PlaywrightEffective communicator and ability to work as part of a cross-functional teamStrong knowledge of TypeScript and ReactExperience with React Native and iOS or Android native environments and developmentAbility to effectively communicate concerns when things don't feel "right"Demonstrated skills in integrating to web analyticsDemonstrated success working with agile and Lean methodologiesCustomer focused with a solid understanding of customer needs and behaviours and the user experience journeyNice to havesBachelor's degree in computer science4-5+ years' experience in modern engineering practices focused on frontend or mobile applicationsExperience working with GraphQL and Apollo or building node.js APIsExperience working with and contributing to a Design SystemWhy OneDigital?Working in a community of industry-leading innovators with a diverse and deep set of skills and experience, you will learn, collaborate, and co-create to achieve great things.
