About the role
We are delighted to announce that we are looking for a
Process Engineer - Technical
at our flagship Yarwun manufacturing site. The role will be reporting to the Senior Manager Technical.
As Process Engineer - Technical, you will be responsible for the optimisation and technical development of the Ammonia Nitrate Complex and related areas.

What you will be doing
Ensure that safety, health and environmental procedures are adhered to within your work environment;
Develop and maintain the safe operating window, Process Flow Diagrams's (PFDs), Engineering Line Diagrams (ELDs) and Basis of Safety (BOS) documents for the Ammonia Nitrate Complex;
Support development and delivery of the continuous improvement projects;
Provide technical support for the production, maintenance, SHEC, projects, analytics, supply chain and procurement activities;
Complete subject matter expert reviews of management of change proposals (permanent or temporary);
Examine the process data for longer term trends and improvement opportunities and implement as required/justified;
Technical oversight and input to raw materials and production aids (eg. Catalysts design);
Benchmark performance of operating plants and establish key parameters including usages and variable costs;
Lead/facilitate RCA for process incidents;
Provide technical support to the other parts of the business as required (eg. HAZOP leadership, independent reviews);
Responsible for the ongoing functional safety of your plant area, including the participation in bowtie studies, LOPA review's and SIL requirements;
Collaborate with the global technical team and asset management team as required.
What you will bring
Qualifications in Chemical/Process Engineering with a minimum of 4+ years experience preferably in chemical manufacturing.
Excellent time management, communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work independently.
Fluent in written and spoken English.
Results orientated, conceptual thinker with a tenacity for taking initiative and getting the job done
