When they make decisions, they always consider the long term future of our state's economy, society and environment.ROLEAct as an experienced practitioner for Hydraulic matters within the Corporation by providing technical support to the Hydraulic engineering discipline, delivering high-level technical investigation, design, review, systems development, audit, and advisory services related to all aspects of water and wastewater standards and infrastructure.Key responsibilities include:Drive an increased awareness in the Safety in Design (SID) process through coordination of an effective SID consultation and delivery plan with resources from Asset Management, Program/Project Management, WHS, Operations, Design and Construction in order to achieve safe design outcomes.Determine suitability of new and emerging technologies and that they are recommended to be adopted by the Corporation where benefits are identified.Provide the technical support on Safety in Design (SiD) matters for the Hydraulic discipline.Collaborate with the Principal Engineer, Hydraulic to support the technical development of Engineering's Hydraulic team.Work effectively within the Hydraulic engineering discipline team, with other technical disciplines and their Principal Engineers and across multi-disciplinary teams from our technical partners.Collaboration with key stakeholders to ensure engineering outcomes meet business partners expectations.Provide timely, accurate, appropriate, and adequate information and documentation to minimise delays and provide cost effective solutions.YOUTertiary Civil, Mechanical or Hydraulic Engineering qualificationDetailed knowledge of Hydraulic engineering procedures and practices as applied to the water industry and large engineering organisations.Experience in the provision of investigation, option, concept, and detailed design of Hydraulic infrastructure associated with the water, oil or gas industry at a high professional level, and auditing of designs prepared by othersDemonstrated experience in the execution of novel, complex and critical engineering investigations, and designs in the Hydraulic discipline.Desirable:Post graduate qualificationsAffiliation and Recognition of discipline expertise by Engineers AustraliaBENEFITSCompetitive hourly rateWork for one of Australia's leading Utilities companiesChance to work on impactful government projectsAPPLY NOWInterested?
