Hidrive is looking for a dynamic Mechanical Engineer to join our team in Goulburn.
Reporting to the Engineering Production Support Team Leader, the Engineer is responsible to provide support and leadership to a team of skilled engineers to enable day-to-day operational support and minor project implementation, key to the succession and scalability of the business.
This position will support and enable the factory to successfully deliver Hidrive's products through specific standards, design, product optimisation and process documentation. Furthermore, the Engineer will work closely with the Engineering Production Support Team Leader to ensure that all Hidrive's products are designed and manufactured in accordance with relevant regulatory standards.

About you You hold a tertiary qualification in Mechanical Engineering (Diploma/Bachelor preferred) You have hands on experience in an engineering team environment Relevant experience and knowledge of OE factory manufacturing standards Experience in 3D CAD & Analysis Software You have a logical approach to problem solving About the Role Some of the key accountabilities of the role:
To provide leadership and advice to ensure operations are conducted safely to provide a safe working environment for all employees and comply with company standards and government legislation. Provide technical support through documentation and practical expertise as well as being accountable for minor projects and design reviews. Enabling new technologies and techniques to improve the reliability and productivity of the current operational process to enable optimal quality and lead times. Well versed with manufacturing processes and promotes appropriate mechanical engineering standards throughout the business by keeping abreast of technological developments and balancing technical excellence with cost and performance in project specifications. Ensure that production deadlines are maintained, and minimal impact is caused by escalation efficiencies. Gather data and specification on new vehicles and achieve DFM accordingly. Ensure that accessories and/or modifications to LCV's comply with statutory and OEM regulations and requirements. Hands on modifications, installations, testing and prototyping. Work with the Quality Control and Service Departments to assist with analysis and close-out of NCR's. Facilitate product testing regimes to ensure product reliability. Support operations with engineering design, analysis, and compliance activities in a timely manner to ensure orders are delivered on time in full. Support the product team with engineering design, analysis and compliance activities in a timely manner to ensure that the product roadmap is executed without delays. Support the sales and service teams with engineering expertise to ensure that compliant solutions are delivered to our customers.
