Who are you? A highly skilled professional with extensive experience in the design, construction or management of large industrial equipment, you will bring your vast knowledge of electrical equipment relating to hydropower generation, including HV switchgear, transformers, and alternators.
You have operated in a senior capacity with the ability to ensure technical projects meet standards and manage risks.
This expertise allows you to offer well-considered recommendations and engineering sign-off on various documents, including technical reports, detailed design drawings, engineering standards, and project proposals.
Additionally, your strong leadership abilities enable you to effectively guide and positively influence the development of your team members through guidance and support.
About the role: To put it simply… you will use your wealth of technical experience to contribute to delivering a program of capital work.
This will involve supporting the design and replacement of hydropower assets that have been operating for over 100 years!
As a Senior Electrical Engineer, you will be:
Providing high-level engineering and technical input into electrical asset specifications as well as documents and standards,Reviewing and making recommendations towards the final engineering sign-off of key engineering documents,Providing technical options and solutions to asset issues that contribute to the safe and timely commissioning of assets for availability,Providing engineering or technical advice for projects and to resolve technical issues,Working closely with a range of stakeholders including the Commercial team.In addition to a competitive remuneration package, this role offers the unique advantage of being able to travel and see some of the most breathtaking locations in the state.
