We're seeking Senior Engagement Officers to join the team focused on putting people at the centre of everything we do, ensuring we deliver better outcomes for all South Australians.
The Opportunity
We're looking for a passionate Senior Engagement Officer to join our Engagement team. In this role, you will develop and implement comprehensive engagement plans, identifying key stakeholders and relevant issues across diverse initiatives. Working alongside the Principal Engagement Officer and the Manager, Engagement, you will deliver effective strategies that create meaningful opportunities for community and stakeholder input to inform project decision-making.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will have the following skills and experience:
Strategic Communicator: A strategic thinker who can effectively create and implement integrated stakeholder engagement strategies tailored to diverse customer audiences, drawing on best practices. Corporate Narrator: Possesses strong writing and editing skills, capable of producing engaging materials and key messages that resonate with various audiences. Results-Oriented: Demonstrates exceptional project planning and time management skills, excelling at delivering results-driven stakeholder engagement activities that enhance reputation, align with priorities, and engage a variety of audiences. Collaborative Team Player: Exhibits high-level interpersonal skills and actively seeks opportunities to build meaningful relationships based on trust, credibility, and confidence with internal clients, strategic networks, and stakeholders. Qualifications/Experience
Experience working in community engagement is essential.
Special Conditions
Prior to employment with the Department the successful candidate will be required to provide:
A National Police Check (NPC) which must be renewed every three years. A Department for Human Services (DHS) Working with Children Check (WWCC) which is required to be renewed every five years before expiry. Some out of hours and weekend work, along with some intra/interstate travel requiring overnight stays, will be required.
