The Senior Employee Relations Advisor is a full-time, ongoing role within MACS. This position is central to the Employee Relations Team, providing support to help MACS achieve its goals and maintain legislative compliance. The team assists schools with employment issues, enterprise agreements, contracts, salaries, policies, and training for principals and leaders. The Advisor will deliver high-quality, responsive advice on complex employee relations issues for Catholic schools and Principals, contribute to policy development, and manage complex cases.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
Lead and contribute to the development and improvement of employee relations policies relevant to Catholic schools Provide senior-level support and advice within the employee relations team Maintain effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders including school employers and principals Provide advocacy services in Fair Work Commission and other tribunals as required ABOUT YOU
Extensive professional experience in contemporary employee relations practice and legislation Strong interpersonal skills, including the ability to work as part of a team, communicate effectively at all levels, and maintain strong working relationships with key stakeholders Experience in employee relations policy development and advanced policy writing skills, with strong attention to detail Knowledge of industrial relations legislation and the ability to acquire knowledge of workers' compensation and related legislation Ability to manage the resolution of workplace issues and complex tasks with minimal supervision, and work to tight timelines in a complex environment HOW TO APPLY
