THE ROLE The Senior Emergency Management Coordinator supports the Manager, Emergency Management to develop, maintain and coordinate divisional and regional planning and response for the Department of Families Fairness and Housing surge capacity, emergency relief and recovery operations and business continuity.
The role requires the establishment and maintenance of strong networks and relationships with internal and external partners and stakeholders and assists in the coordination of emergencies.
ACCOUNTABILITIES INCLUDE * Plan, implement and manage a range of policy initiatives and programs that improve the lives of Victorians most at risk in emergencies as well as completing policy reviews which provide recommendations within resourcing, timeline and budget parameters.
* Provide authoritative advice to internal and external stakeholders and prepare and present detailed reports, ministerial briefs, cabinet and agency submissions on complex policy and issues.
* Monitor and report on high priority issues, risks and trends and prepare and present reports and briefs.
