About the Role As an Electronics Engineer at Quad Lock, you'll play a pivotal role in designing, developing, and maintaining electrical and electronic systems. You'll work hands-on with innovative products, supporting the full lifecycle of electronics development - this includes testing, troubleshooting, and ensuring compliance with both local and international industry standards. You'll collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive product improvements and provide technical expertise, while also liaising with overseas suppliers to ensure our products meet the highest quality and regulatory standards. Your contributions will help shape the future of our product offerings and ensure the continued success of Quad Lock's mission.
Please note, this role is an 18-month fixed term contract. What You'll Do Design and develop electrical and electronic systems, circuits, and components for Quad Lock's range of electronic productsConduct feasibility studies, analyse requirements, and create detailed technical specifications for projectsCollaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate electrical and electronic systems into larger product designsPerform simulations, calculations, and modelling to optimise system performance, efficiency, and reliabilitySpecify and conduct testing, verification, and validation activities to ensure adherence to design specifications and quality standardsTroubleshoot and debug electrical and electronic systems, identifying and resolving technical issues in a timely mannerStay updated with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices to incorporate innovative solutions into designsEnsure compliance with relevant electrical safety standards, codes, and regulations.Create and maintain documentation, including design records, technical reports, and user manualsCollaborate with suppliers and vendors to evaluate and select appropriate components and materialsProvide technical support and guidance to internal teams, customers, and stakeholdersParticipate in design reviews, brainstorming sessions, and continuous improvement initiativesContribute to the development and improvement of engineering processes and methodologiesLiaison and management of suppliers both locally and internationallyPotential to travel both locally and internationally if requiredWhat You'll Bring Extensive experience in designing electrical and electronic systems, preferably in a Consumer product domain (Wireless Charging expertise would be an advantage)Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or a related fieldUnderstanding of Firmware and Software Interactions is advantageousProficiency in computer-aided design (SolidWorks) software and simulation tools for circuit design and analysis.Strong knowledge of electrical and electronic components, systems, their integration and supply chains.Familiarity with relevant standards and regulations, such as NEC, IEC, IEEE, Qi2 (desirable)Experience with prototyping, testing, and troubleshooting electrical and electronic systemsProficient in using lab equipment, measurement tools, and diagnostic instrumentsExcellent problem-solving skills and ability to analyse complex technical issuesStrong communication skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholdersAbility to manage multiple projects and priorities, delivering high-quality results within deadlinesDetail-oriented mindset with a focus on accuracy and precision in design and documentationCan-Do attitudeWhat it's like to work at Quad Lock At Quad Lock our customers mean the world to us but so does our team, by joining us you'll be able to take advantage of the amazing perks we have on offer:
